FAQs

  • Fill out a contact form. You should receive a returned email within 3 business days. Please check your junk mail to make sure it is not lost. If you are having difficulty with completing a contact form, you can email info@theflourishingco.org as well.

  • Please specify which therapist you would like to work with when you fill out the contact form. Numerous factors affect our therapists’ availability. At times, they may not be able to accept new clients. If that is the case, we will offer another therapist that aligns with your needs.

If necessary and with your permission, you will be put on a waiting list if you would like to wait for your preferred therapist to become available.

  • After you have scheduled an appointment, you will receive a link to complete our intake forms through our client portal.

These forms will help you understand The Flourishing Collective’s policies. You will also be completing a general overview form that will help your therapist have some background on why you would like to work together. This will help your therapist have a general understanding of how they might help you.

After three sessions, you and your therapist will decide together if it is a good fit for you both. You are encouraged to reflect if you feel heard and understood. Your therapist will be reflecting if they are able to help you meet your goals.

If you both decide to continue, you will then agree to meet weekly for 3 months. At that time, you both will review again to see if this is a helpful and productive relationship for you and if they have been able to help you meet your goals.

If one or both of you decide it is not a good fit, your therapist will give you referrals to other practitioners whom they believe are better suited to help you.

  • Yes. We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network. We also accept all HSA/FSA forms of payment. Because we are providing a medical service, all of our services are tax-deductible.

If you do not have BCBS or BCN and want to use your insurance, we will provide a "superbill" to you that has ALL of the information you need to submit to your insurance and then they pay you back directly.

  • Of course! You will pay our out of pocket fee and will be provided with a “superbill” that will have all the information you need to submit for reimbursement to your insurance.

Your insurance will then pay you directly and credit your payments to us under your out-of-network benefit. You can still use your HSA/FSA credit cards to pay for your appointments.

  • The Flourishing Collective is 100% Telehealth. You will meet your therapist through a HIPAA-compliant video link in the comfort of your own environment.

We are based in Holland, MI.

  • Telehealth is online therapy with licensed therapists. We us a HIPAA-compliant and reliable software program that allows your information to be kept confidential and secure. You will receive a secure link to your appointment 48 hours before you appointment begins. You will then access the appointment on your computer or cell phone.

  • Yes. Telehealth has been extensively studied and repeated results show that it is as effective as in person therapy. You can read more about the studies done by The American Psychological Association (HERE) and studies run by the National Institutes of Health (HERE).

  • You can complete a referral form. This form is accessed on our referrals page.

  • We request 24 business hours notice for any cancellations, unless there is an emergency beyond your control. For example, if your appointment is on Monday at 10a, you will need to cancel by the previous Friday at 10a to not be charged the late cancellation fee.

The late cancellation fee is equal to your therapist’s session fee.

This policy ensures that your therapist reserves the time you have agreed upon for you and consequently limits the number of clients they work with, so they may provide excellent, thoughtful, and committed support.

To cancel and reschedule your appointment, please contact your therapist via your client portal.

  • The Flourishing Collective does not offer crisis intervention services, either over the phone, client portal, or via e-mail.

It is understandable that your needs may change over the course of therapy. If you need crisis support, please let your therapist know and they will provide a referral for additional support services that provide crisis support.
