Kelly Teahan, LLMSW

Kelly enjoys helping clients who are navigate life changes and transitions, and who want to improve their relationships. She has worked with clients who have mood disorders, trauma, learning disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Many of Kelly’s clients identify on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and are working on finding who they are.

Kelly specializes in working with middle, high school, and college students. She uses her expertise to help her clients navigate college pressures, transitions, and career paths. She is currently a school social worker and also enjoys working with educators who would like to have support and guidance in their own life, while wanting a therapist that understands the pressures that they are facing in their professions.

Kelly’s approach is strengths-based, compassionate, and person-centered. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. She works with her clients collaboratively to increase understanding and work toward healing and growth, often using somatic approaches. She has previously worked in a research lab studying positive psychology and utilizes her training to help her clients use the most effective intervention and approach.

Kelly is currently accepting new clients in Michigan.
